Semester 1: Career Design Overview Foundations
Build the analytical foundation for all future client work.
In Semester 1, you’ll learn how to deliver a BG5 Career Design Overview, introducing clients to the fundamentals of their unique Career Design.
You will learn how to:
- Understand the fundamentals of Comparative Analysis
- Explore small and large group dynamics
- Identify the correct career environment for an individual
- Deliver all 6 BG5 Success Codes in a Career Design Overview
- Understand the basics of the 12 Business Skills and how to identify them in a chart
Practice-Based Learning: By the end of this semester, you may begin delivering Career Design Overviews to clients (with disclosure that you are a student). Practice is encouraged to build confidence and proficiency.
Semester 2: Career Design & Partnership Analysis
This is where your skills deepen and your confidence grows.
In Semester 2, you’ll learn how to empower clients through a Full BG5 Career Design Analysis and Partnership Analysis.
You will learn how to:
- Deliver all 16 BG5 Success Codes in a full Career Design Analysis
- Explore the deeper nuances of each of the 12 Business Skills
- Introduce clients to their consistent natural Strengths
- Help clients recognize when Shadows derail them
- Identify Public Role and Life Work
- Uncover themes that support fulfillment of Life Purpose
- Understand larger group dynamics and their individual impact
- Analyze the strengths, hot spots, and pitfalls of a business partnership
Practice-Based Learning: You may begin delivering full Career Design and Partnership Analyses while enrolled, with student disclosure.
Semester 3: Leadership & Group Dynamics Certification
This is where you step fully into professional level work.
In Semester 3, you’ll learn how to deliver:
- Alpha One Leadership Analysis
- Small Business Penta Analysis
You’ll gain the tools to work with leaders, managers, and business owners to engineer effective, aligned teams.
You will learn how to:
- Explore the 12 Business Skills from a team perspective
- Use Gap Analysis to identify success or struggle in a group
- Fine-tune teams for greater effectiveness and efficiency
- Engineer business growth to support healthy expansion
Upon completion of all coursework, required materials, and approved projects, you will receive your BG5 Career & Business Consultant Certification.

What are the prerequisites for enrollment?
The BG5 Foundation or all three HD Foundation courses and the BG5 Foundation recordings. If you took the HD Foundation courses you will need to contact [email protected] before registering so you can also purchase the BG5 Foundation Recordings for $100.
What is the Audit Price?
Email [email protected] for audit pricing. Audit pricing is available for students who have already taken the course.
How long is each semester?
10 classes, 1 class per week, 10 weeks total per semester, 3 semesters total.
Do I need to already be a BG5 expert to enroll?
No. You are expected to have an understanding of the Foundation-level concepts only. However, this course can work well for experts as well.
Is this course mostly a review of the Foundation material?
No. Foundation concepts are used as a base, but this program introduces significant new content, deeper mechanics, professional methodologies, group dynamics, and multiple examples and class exercises. This is is not taught in the Foundation course.
What happens if I can’t attend live?
All sessions are recorded and made available for you to review at your own pace. While attending live offers the benefit of interaction and discussion, you’ll still receive full value from the recordings if you need to watch on your own time if you can't attend live.

Is there homework or assignments?
Yes, there are weekly homework assignments and a semester project for each semester.
Is there a package option?
Yes, there is a certification package available that includes all three semesters, discounted reports, discounted toolkits, and a full analysis with your instructor.
Can I work with clients while I am enrolled?
Yes. By the end of Semester 1, you may begin delivering a BG5 Career Design Overview to clients, provided you clearly disclose that you are a student and not yet certified. By the end of Semester 2, you may begin delivering Full Career Design and Partnership Analyses with the same disclosure. Practice during training is encouraged.
How much time should I plan to dedicate each week?
You’ll want to set aside about 3-5 hours per week. Two for class, and another 2-3 hours for reflection, practice, homework, and your final project.
How do I know if this course is right for me?
